That is a great find Tourney! Glad to see you are counting your wheats as copper now.

Managed to get a few rolls on a driveby at lunch time today. Originally was just going to tap the ATM for lunch money, but there were hardly any cars in the parking lot so I went in.

Scored 100 CWR pennies from the same bank earlier this week.

Northern Minnesota I average 14 copper memorial cents per roll or 28%. I also average 1 copper canadian per roll, and 1 wheat cent per 5 rolls not included in the 28%.

Thanks! I'm from Texas. I'll try to change it up so I can get a feel on which banks are better.

Finished up two boxes today...

1410 1959-82 Cu cents
18 Wheat cents
12 Canadian cents

Not only was this my lowest Cu percentage so far, but then I found out my coin counter is off so I may have to go back and recount (with a different machine) the coins I have stashed away. Ugh

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

1450 boss's daughter-rolled from piggy bank and tips from ice cream shop.

347 cu
5 wheats
2 canadian
7 darn dimes.....

24.4% (not corrected for DD's)

Should I give the dimes back?

BTW, back to hand sorting, as my comparitor attempts have proven fruitless. Those of you saying that you can sort a $25 box in an hour, I'd REALLY like to see that! Either I'm too cautious, or you folks are missing a lot of copper. All that shines is not zinc.

As I was going though checkout at the supermarket this past week, I noticed that the cashier had a pretty healthy "muffin top". I watched to be sure that she wasn't putting it on the scale as she weighed my produce/fruit.

Ardent, ...got muffin top (on your scale)?

i did my last brinks box in @45-50 minutes
the paper roll boxes...@60-70 minutes because you have to push the coins out of each side of the broken roll as with the brinks you just bend and they fall out.
so in 45-50 minutes ive got three piles...zinc,copper,and wheat-canadian-oddball.

A friend of mine was a grocery store cashier, he said that "annoying customers" with produce would always pay for their attitude. (he would press his thumb on the scale and add about 20% to the weight of the item.)

moboman.. no need to run the copper through the Glory counter. You had 625 coppers from that Brinks box. Exactly 25% .. not a bad percentage.
