Holy crow, I found one... a 1927. Despite my keen interest in Lincolns, I almost never sort coins. Perhaps when I get settled in to the new home this spring (hopefully). Anyway, this is from just a $5 sort... and I got 5 wheats, a 1960 small date (really), and FINALLY found a 2009D type 3. This is the last of the 8 designs for last year to make its way into my collection. Yee-haw!
EDIT: with the new job, I've been kinda busy. And it's not that this thread takes so much time to update, it's just that I have to know I will have the time to FINISH updating it once I start. Tonight's the night. Right after I watch THE OFFICE and put the kids to bed. |

Updating the lists, so you get some stats as I'm working on it...
In the last nine days, we've found and reported 187 pre-40 Lincolns: pre-20: 44 coins, including an 09S and two 09 plains. 20-29: 41 30-33: 5 34-39: 97 At this point, several of the individual date lists are spilling over to the next line (at least on my browser). If that happens, they are being cut down, and some of the specific data is now being deleted from my spreadsheet as well as the post.
Highest mintage coin not yet found: 1913D, with a mintage of 15.8 million. So that means we have now found ALL the coins except some of the keys and semi-keys.
ARISTOBULUS: Welcome to the hunt!
TLAKE22: 1909S - nice find. Wish I could find one. I just need to sort more.
COMMON CENTS: "I've found a 1909 before, but it's condition wasn't as good as this one. I think I had a 1930 wheatie a few days ago as well." Just verify the dates, and that they were found this year, and we'll throw them up on the list. I wasn't sure.
89GTSTANGER: Nice find on the 1911S. Refer to my comment to TLAKE! I want one!
BMAN: "I found a 1934 in the reject tray of a Coinstar at Walmart today, does that count?" SURE! How cool is that!
THOGEY: "just finished my, now weekly, 100.00 dollar hand sort." DID THIS THREAD MAKE YOU KICK IT UP? |

Harvested a 1937 out of a $25 brinks box. Plenty of 40's and 50's and a good percentage of copper for brinks box. |
