Report on dimes searched:
$125.00 -- 25 CWRs
Silver dimes found - 1/1963D
Other found - 1/1999 Five Pence (did NOT count this roll as short even though it replaced one US Dime), 1/1979D US Dime in a high AU to low MS condition
Other stats: One roll over by 10 cents, three rolls shorted by 10 cents each (NOT counting the roll with the foreign coin)
Overage/shortage total: Shorted 20 cents

Thanks...There's a number of Leader Boards that give everyone a chance at being number 1, even if Dumpster Diver is on a tear right now. Maybe I'll think of a few more soon.
The SILVER Searcher Score gives credit to those of us who work hard at their searching in order to find a lot of SILVERs. The score includes credit for the nickel, dime, quarter, and half searching that we do. Not only do you need to find SILVERs, but you need to search a lot to excell on this Leader Board.
No conspiracy on this thread; just the hard cold facts of searching for SILVERs. The score divisor for this Leader Board has always been 8500 - it's the number coins in a box of nickels, plus a box of dimes, plus a box of quarters, plus a box of halves + 1000.
Now get searching for SILVERs Hoard. Minimums will be going up again on February 1. |

Man.. I am having a hard time maintaining those minimums.. lol. Here I sit at the top of the half % board.. wondering where or if I will score another roll of halves. 2 more banks to try today. One never has any.. the other one has been the source of all my good rolls.

| I agree.. this silver score thing has me accepting nickels I don't even want.. just to get my searched count up.. for when I do eventually find silver. Thanks for adding a lot to the fun of this part of the forum Country. |

| I have always liked Coins. Since I was a Kid. I think we all have. Searching through rolls has sparked a new feaver in me. I started late 2009 after reading this and i placed an order with my bank for $2000 worth of halfs. from reading this that is 4 boxes $500 each. They will be in Friday, 22 Jan. I cannot wait. Next weekend I will be in my basement. Searching. |

I thought the SILVER SEARCHER SCORE full list would draw interest. Even if you're not in the top ten searchers, it's nice to know where you stand.
On a personal note, my source bank didn't get me any halves this past week. I'm in a SILVER slump right now. However, I know that I'm overdue for a BIG SCORE that sooner or later I get. WATCH OUT!! |
