In February 2010, please post your finds right here.
It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2010 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2010 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.
It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.
Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!
Those of you who are considering becoming RealCent members - Why not join today and stake your SILVER claims right here? Compete with other members in the race to see who is the best SILVER hunter.
Statistical data includes all posts 02/28/2010 : 21:38:59 and earlier. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 03/01/10-1745ET The number of SILVER halves found in each box. The total SILVER count for each box is either the actual reported SILVERs, $1000 bag SILVERs divided by two, and a few SILVER counts that were extrapolated from multiple box reports that did not delinate how many SILVERs were in each box. The chart shows the number of SILVERs on the horizontal axis and the number of boxes for that count on the vertical axis. Outliers that were not included to make the chart reasonable in size were Slickeast's 229 SILVER $1000 bag, and 12kHz's wonderful 161 and 287 SILVER boxes.
Please post your February 2010 SILVER finds here....
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Thank you for starting a new topic for this for February. Yesterday to post my finds I almost couldn't get the last one to load and open up with my slow dial-up ISP and this contrary contraption called a computer!
I wanted to take a moment to thank you, Country, for all the work you put into this part of the silver section. You have organized all the details better than I could ever try to do, and we all appreciate very much your data maps and charts. You should be a Moderator. Have a great time everybody with your silver searches! Kirkland
My penny dump bank had one half dollar, but it was a skunk 1972. My mission this week is to look for halves more than getting boxes of pennies. I want to find at least 4-40%'s.
Thank you. I've been spending some time setting up yearly and monthly stats the last couple of days. I haven't had the time to work on new maps programs or developing the maps myself with macros, nor looking at the halves on the floor next to me. I think it's searchin time for me now.
The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:8 [/b] He created it. He controls it. He gave it to us for His use. Why did we turn from sound scriptural currency that PROTECTS us?
$2 in loose halves and no silver. I had to go to 3 banks and a grocery store to get those 4 halves... But It is ok I have a box waiting for me at the bank in the morning. :)
$20.00 -- 9 CWRs and 1 BWR (plastic sleeve like Brinks)
V nickel - none Buffalo - none War Nickel - none Proofs - none Canadian pre-1982 - none 2009 - none Other found - 1/1982 Canadian nickel that could possibly be an error coin; 1/1939, 1/1959D
Silver dimes found - none 2009 dimes found - none Other found - 1 -- 2001 Canadian 10 cent Special Edition Honoring Volunteers - Possible error coin; 1 -- US Penny 1975 Painted white/silverish to try to pass itself off as a dime
Other stats: One roll over by 10 cents, one roll shorted by 10 cents, one roll shorted by 9 cents (roll with penny)
Halving (is this a word?): Means going from bank to bank asking for half dollars. Bank1: 10 coins = 8 40% Ag! Bank2: 0 coins Bank3: 5 coins = 0 Ag Bank4: 13 coins = 0 Ag
$500 in Bank Wrapped Rolls. (2) 40% (67,69), (11) 2001 P, and (6) BU coins including a bicentennial. It is the best looking bicentennial that I've seen. I must be getting deeper into Secure-Trans's supply the rolls went from white with yellow writing to brown with the armored car company's logo. The few that with white wrappers that came with this box were old and dusty, and all the rest were fresh and new looking. This is the first time I have found silver in a box, the rest came from Crw's. I asked the bank to order 2 more when I ordered these, they get shipments on Monday and Thursday, and a 2 day turn around, so I should get 2 more boxes Thursday. :) Yea! Oh, I turned loose 2 more 2001 P's due to wear, I figured with the low premiums these coins have why save the worn ones.
I was trending 1 silver every three rolls for my first 8 silvers of the year... guess the winning streak had to end sometime.
Went to the bank today to get halfs. only a loose $90 bag. I took it. looked through it tonight, SKUNK.
The halfs delivery is this Thursday. I am leaving on a business trip tomorrow. Flying back in Friday at 4. Straigt to the bank so see if they are there. I think someone else is ordering. I will find out.
