| 1 roll of halves. SKUNKED! Gee, I hate getting skunked. The pennies I bought at this bank were also a bunch of skunk new zinc garbage ones. I have a good mind to turn that bank into a dump bank. |

I am going to work on the rest tomorrow. I will post a full report then. |

I was thinking. That's dangerous these days. But these stats would help answer a pretty important question for someone who is deciding what to sort, in order to find silver.
Silver coins found, per $1000 searched Nickels: 8.6 Dimes: 5.48 Quarters: 44.12 Halves: 12.7 Stats reflect approximately $12k nickels, $14k dimes, $5k quarters, and $128k halves searched.
Without reading all 20+ pages, can someone tell me: is there some anomaly that is skewing the quarter data? |

While cashing in a coin counter ticket yesterday I spot a possible silver in the tellers tray. He had a few dollars and I asked if I could buy his halves. He instantly plucked the suspected coin from the rest and set it aside. "That one's special"
It was a 65'.
Before I could comment, he reads the common clad dates on the rest to me and I politely declined taking them while smiling brightly.
Nice try anyway.
Got a huge pile from the coin counter rejects today including a 1938 Australian Half Penny (ha'pence)size of a quarter and a 1944 Turkish coin, size of a dime.
Ryedale should arrive today.

Ah yeah! Rainsome found some 225 or so silver quarters this month. This really throws off the data, because he had a 50% silver find in his search. Normally Quarters are worse off than dime search % finds. |

| If all goes well, I'm getting a new PC today: Quad-4 CPU/64-bit/8gb ram/1T HD/ATI Radeon graphics card/Windows-7/2007 Window Office. There might be a bit of a learning curve setting up this monster machine into my home network. Please be patient with me providing you with stats over the next few days. Thanks.... |

My quarter find of 223 was a big anomoly, and might best be deleted, since it skews the data and might mis-lead some people.
Again, if there is anyone in the Oregon area searching for silver, IM me; I would like to compare notes. |

3-Boxes halves
Box 1 1-42' Walker 1-61D Ben 1-63D Ben 3-64' 1-66' 2-68D 2-69D
No NFIC
Box 2 1-74S clad proof 1-64' 2-66' 3-68D 1-69D
1-63D Ben
No NIFC
Box 3 Skunk 1-2002P 1-1994 Machine Double 1-1978 Rim error (double rim one side obverse only)
Bad news today as one branch where I have had a business account for 30 years and last week started producing silver, cut me off unless I agree to a surcharge of $5-$10 per box.
I have a great relationship with head teller who was not in today. Another hard women did the dirty work without sympathy and a lecture about special order charges,
I also went to two other branches I never go to of the same bank and they delivered. 1 Skunk so far and the other box smells of skunk,
I still have the third and last branch to visit and we'll see if they deliver tomorrow.
Well, I was feeling bad and went to my main business bank where the head teller is a good friend and I asked him how much I could order without breaking the deal.
He knows I deposit about a half million a year there, said I could double and get 4 boxes a week.
I told him that if someone came looking over his shoulder to back off and let me know.
This bank does not have a good production history, nor did the bank i lost. We will see.
I could be out shopping for banks again soon.
Since I have to do 2-3 times the volume to produce the same amount of silver as some others, it's tough going.

| If you have an account at a bank, they should not treat you like dirt if you ask for something they need to order. Sorry about that news, and I hope you will be able to do as good as you did when you had that bank. |
