Can you tell me how many SILVER halves were in each of the six boxes? That way I can keep track of the box SKUNKS and other data.
of the boxes searched above, none were skunks for silver. Best guess it would have been something like
box1 - 2 box2 - 1 box3 - 1 box4 - 1 box5 - 2 box6 - 1
I'll keep this in mind for future searches. |

YES...One of our SILVER searchers resides in Alaska.
Keeping up with my personal finds should be easy this month. It's been a terrible SILVER month so far for me. However, I know that the SILVER queen is an overdue guest at my house. Maybe this week. |

| $45.00 Halves. Skunked. Rats. However, I did find one interesting half where someone punched their initials into the coin. 1972, it was. Not really a keeper. |

From yesterday (Monday, 1/25).
Stopped at bank branch to pick up weekly $50 bag of pennies. They also had a bag of nickels which I had never sorted in large quantity. I decided to give it at least a one-time try so I took the bag of nicks also. This bag of nickels was only $100 (the same size as a box).
$100.00 Nickels
(1) Silver War Nickel - 1942-P (3) Canadian CuNi - 89, 93, 99 (2) Bonus Quarters - 67, 89D
Strange the quarters were in there. I didn't think that could happen. The only explanation I could think of was perhaps a bounce-out or bounce-off the quarter bag into the nickel bag.
I know these aren't tracked here, but the results for the older Jefferson CuNi were as follows:
38-42 - 13 46-49 - 9 50-59 - 13
There were NO 2009 nickels in the bag.
Happy to be on the War Nickel board!!!

Oh well, at least I know I have enough to fill up a bag at a machine I've been wanting to get since November. Better luck to everyone else. |
