Yes I do live in North Dakota. I just found a bank that will order me 2 boxes a week. Hoping to find another one so I can do 4 boxes a week.

I found a couple of 1971's that look to be in BU condition. Any value to these other than 50 cents?

Did you do 30 boxes or 15 bags?

Do you have any stats on how many SILVERs were in each box or bag?

How often do you search $15K or halves?

It would be awesome if he said DAILY

worst boxes ever!!!

First two skunks.
Second When I opened the sliding door on my van at work, one of the boxes fell out and spilled all over the ground. Several torn rolls.
Third, when I got to the bank to dump, the parking lot was full. Had to walk a bit.
Fourth, by the time I got to the front door, there were 5 empty parking spots.
Last, had to wait in line ten minutes with no place to set the boxes down.

Almost glad that I don't have to sort any more halves until next week.

I didn't think there was such a thing as 1969P halves. Is the D mint mark just worn off?

That said... it sounds pretty fun going through a bag like that. Congrats!

I'm pretty sure it's not a worn off "D".
They stopped putting mint marks on Halves from '64 to '67.
The Halves after '67 with no mint mark are from Philly.

It was very fun going thru that bag.
I'm afraid to pick up my 2 boxes on Monday because I'm sure they will lower my percentage, but you never know if you don't look!

There's profit if you melt things!!

There are quite a few 71' and 72' BU coins out there. Worth 50 Cents.

Being a collector, I keep best examples of most years and filled a tube with most dates and mintmarks.

Keep a few and toss the rest back as they will eat into your silver funds. If you don't collect, toss them back.

Even clads that were released to collectors only from the mint are mostly worth 50 cents when found in the wild. This also applies to wild proof coins.

Search and read the stickies.

I will keep those for the future or my kids future.

Dump run this morning. Swung by a bank that has yeilded silver in the past.

$40 in halves - 16 40's
$60 in dimes - skunk

I know these won't count but...
Also picked up a whitman folder of washington quarter at a pawn shop which has 36 quarters (1946 to 1959) in it some in BU shape and some simi-keys for 15% under melt.

Do not mourn in utter defeat, Dumpster Diver. $7 of silver is still a good number of silver to get. You see, I don't think it is a good idea to ask your bank to order boxes of halves because I'm sure most do not come from customers. You just have to hope customers bring some silver in.

Hoard - I'm automating the transcription of data to an output text file and then comparing the outputs to make sure I've got the formatting correct. Once automated, I will save a lot time putting the results together.

Current updates will be out soon. You might say the system is down for maintenance.
