$500 Halves - Brink's Box
I'm still in a bad SILVER slump right now! 
15 OF MY LAST 19 BOXES HAVE BEEN SILVER SKUNKS!!
Maybe next box will be better... I keep saying this, but it doesn't happen.

| Good lord Country. Hey at least you're finding NIFC's and keeping a positive outlook on the situation... I'll be picking up [i hope] 6 boxes of halves tonight. And whatever they have available in dimes, I need to keep up with AGCH looks like this member is taking the lead for dime finds. |

CWI box dtd 12/18/09 (one roll had an extra half dollar...I'm on a roll lately with long rolls!!!).
Silver skunk. These 12/18 boxes are TERRIBLE (six of these dating back to late December, all silver skunks)!!!

| Country- Consider that somebody else is extracting the silver ones out of the halves in your area. Try another bank that's maybe a little far out of your way. |

The SKUNKS come in waves at my source bank. The waves of SKUNKS always ends and the good stuff comes off the pallet to me after I dig through the pile of SKUNK boxes.

I haven't been tracking my exact results so far this year but I can at least report the results of my most recent pickup:
$15,000 in halves:
66 40%
13 90% JFK
8 Ben Franklins
5 Walkers (one near mint '43)
1951 Booker T. Washington 90%
1 Bi-Centennial Silver S
5 Proofs
1 '87
NIFC (too many now to care or count)

Recently I have done a bunch of leg work to find different sources. Two new sources were ordered from (for me) this week.
I have been to many branches making new connections.
I picked up my second full box of LP4 pennies yesterday just poking around.
Total suprise and pure chance.

I'll just wade through the SKUNKS and get rid of them all. Then, I'll get to the good stuff which I'm sure is underneath or I'll force Brink's to get another pallet which they might have just done over the holidays. I've seen SKUNKs like these before, multi-marked, casino, and BU-PUs. These are not my dumps because I would have removed all the NIFCs and left nothing behind. So, eventually, as I increase my weekly half orders (now at two different locations), I will move these SKUNKs all out to my Dunbar dump bank branches which takes them far, far away.
One of the reasons I began to do the comprehensive statistics on the searching was to emotionally tide me over, using some of spreadsheet skills I learned years ago, during my lull periods of SILVER searching which we all do encounter. I enjoy taking part and seeing the photos of our great SILVER finds too.
I live in a rurual area and only have two choices. One bank is the source bank and the other bank is the dump bank. Other banks are a 60 mile round trip away and not a decent option for me. |

I use BB&T bank (Brink's serviced) as my source bank and Union Bank (Dunbar serviced) as my dump bank (9 branches of these all with very convenient coin counters in their vaults). |
