I usually only dump $250.00 - $300.00 pennies at a time. What does everyone else dump? And what would be the most you would dump in a day? How do you carry your pennnies in? I am thinking about using a cart but don't want to bring too much attention to myself.

| The banks around here get unfriendly if I do more than $25-50 at a tmie. I am small time compared to most here so I try and stay under $25 at a time. |

| I try to keep it under $50 per dump, even though at times I will have more then that in my truck ready to go back. I'll just stop at a couple different places in the same day to deposit. The coinstar with the broken gift card section is my primary dump as of lately which is giving me 100% value in cash. I also don't dump at the same bank more than once every 2 weeks. |

| I try to keep it under $50 also in a single dump. They seem to get annoyed when they have to change the bags on the coin counter so I try to either limit the size or spread out the dumps among different branches. I actually keep track of where I dump the pennies so that I dont hit the same one too often. |

As long as I keep it at $1000 or less, I have no problems. I make sure they are expecting me when I go. I bag them, put them into my stackable boxes, then I dolly them in. As far as attention, I'm not worried about that. Some gold foil chocolate coins every now and then don't hurt. It really depends on you particular situation. Good luck.

Yes, as Kurr said think in weeks and not days. If you dump everyday they are going to get sick of it, plus as he stated the armor cars only come once a week.
At my dump bank I can bring in up to $400 a week. I talked to them and figured out that their slowest day is Wendesday, so thats the day I dump.
The key is to work with the bank as much as possible. The easier you make it on them, the more likely they arent going to mind you doing this.
I have a little dolly cart that I use to bring the coin in. You are worried about brining attetnion to yourself, but hauling in even 1 canvas bags gets you looked. Talk to the bank and see if they will ok a cart or dolly or something. |

| I usually have two canvas bags full of them, which I do once or twice a week. So far, so good. If they bring it up, I'll tell them I'm willing to negotiate, but I'd really like to continue dumping there. |

I never dump more than one cartload at a time. Of course the cart has a 660 pound capicity.. so that is a lot of zinc. Actually, my normal dump used to be 12 bags at a time. Rolling a cart with a squeeky wheel and 12 bags of pennies on it through the lobby is a sure way to get some looks at the bank. You are too noticable and eventually some management type will want to cut you off. I have learned since then to really spread my dumps around. I hardly ever dump more than 6 boxes of machine rolled zinc or 2 bags at any one branch, and try to limit visits to once or twice per week at each branch. It is more work for me, but it cuts down on unfavorable attention from bank managers. After a while you can kind of gauge a particular branch's tolerance for dumps. And like Deal said.. chocolate greases the wheels. |

Good advice. My pickup bank gets their armored truck deliveries on Friday mornings. So on those occasions where I have something coming in for me, I wait until after 1pm. I talked to the head teller who orders them for me, and she said anytime after 1 was best since it's a heavy banking day (payday). So far I have made sure to only stop by after 1pm so that I dont ruin a good thing. If I go there and they are swamped, I come back later as well. I dont want to put them out and have them resent me. Oh yeah, chocolates work very well too! |

I dump $40-80 per trip. Most of the banks that I work with are smaller rural banks and would freak out if I brought in more change than that at a time. I try not to dump at the same branch more than once or twice a month. I travel enough for work that I have lots of options.
I went almost a year without finding a bank with a counter. Now I have four. One has the machine in the lobby. The other 3 have them behind the teller line. Of those, one counts it while I wait, the other two count at their convenience and deposit the money into my account. I get a hand written receipt when I drop them off and an official one in the mail. |

| Coin star machines with the phone cord unplugged have gift card sections that don't work. They have to then give you the cash no fee. |

| I normally dump between $50 and 200 per dump. Counter only accepts about 600 coins per minute so I can spend a decent amount of time there, |

Dumped around $400 loose without issue. In and out in less than 45 minutes and that included a phone call for the guy running the coin. Of course I also greased the wheels with chocolate, foil covered pennies. Up until now I've used the gold coins but I found the pennies at the same place I get the gold ones. They seemed more appropriate.

| I dump about $100 loose and uncounted weekly. I have two dump banks, and both will take the coin, count it and deposit to my account. They hold the deposit slip with the bags for the next time I'm in. I'm normally in and out in less than 5 minutes. I usually dump on either Wednesday or Thursday morning as those are usually slow times for them. As mentioned above, one of the keys to this is to communicate with the bank and try to let them accomodate your needs as easily as they can. |

| I have a weekly dump on Monday's between $2000-$2500 in zinc. I probably would/could do more, but my vehicle won't hold any more :) My record in 1 week is almost $4000 in zinc... |

| Luckily I go to two banks which offer free do-it-yourself coin counting. The coins go to Coinage Distribution, a leading distributor of steel coins. |

I have a large plastic cat litter container I am now using. Had 278.00 in pennies in it. I use a hand truck. Roll in at 8:30 when the CU opens. Use my daughters sand bucket to dump them in the machine. When it filled up the teller came over and said" You have all pennies, right?" Said he knew when I walked in. They have been real friendly. Told me they did not have a limit on the amount you can dump in thier machine. I am going to start going 2 times a week when they open and only bring in 200.00 to 300.00 at a time.

In cents, probably about $200 max a week. I have a cart but try not to use it (cart=lots of coins and lots of hassle). Lately I have been trying to keep it down to two bags of coinage per visit (cents, halves, nickels, ect). I don't exceed three visits per week.
It is good to know when the armored truck comes so you can dump prior to their arrival. This way the banks don't have to keep your bags for an extended amount of time. Remember the bank vault is not a bottomless pit; they do have limited space. One of my dump banks prefers me to dump before Thursday. |

| I dump about 100 in zinc a day lately. Takes them about 10 minutes to process it all and give me cash while I wait. I guess if I had more time to wait around I'd double it but for the volume I do which is low right now it works for me. |
