They always let the new guy get stuff like that just to get him hooked. It's a conspiracy. Congratulations on your find and welcome to the forum. Now get back to that bank and buy the rest of thier pennies.. those wheat cents come in groups.

You should also ask about other denominations like nickels, dimes, halves and BIG dollars.. sometimes when you find good stuff in one demonination there may have been rolls of other denominations turned in from the same source.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

It's exciting, isn't it? I bet you go back tomorrow to see if that bank has any more of those rolls.

I got a couple of rolls last week that were almost all wheats, with weird modern day stuff mixed in -- a Netherlands euro cent, a Canadian dime, a beat up Brazilian centavo . . . strange mix of old and new.

Life is like a roll of pennies . . . you never know what you're gonna get.

It is the most polite and genuinely freindly forum I've ever been on. No one is treated here, as though they are stupid. Ask away and get good, helpful non-condescending naswers to your questions!

Congratulations on your great find ! Hope you find lots more like that .... and I wouldn't mind it a bit if I found some rolls like yours, too

Last evening, going through some rolls we picked up, I did find a 1984 P DD Obv in XF-AU condition. I'd e very happy for find more like that, as well.

Hi JobIII ... I apologize that I am unable to post any photos at this time ... I am very 'technically challenged'

However, if you use this web site - "You must be logged in to see this link." and look at the photos of the 1984 P DD Obv, you will see an almost mirror image of the coin I found in the roll. The big difference is that the one I found is not quite an 'Unc' ... but its close.

Hope this helps. I think the 1984 DD Obv is one of the easier DD mint pennies to verify.
