Just wondering,
What areas of the country people are searching in, I would like to stay out of others ways if possible. I would hate to be going to the same banks others are. Would be very unproductive...
Me I am in South Eastern Wisconsin. .

Hi oober,
Always good to see new members. I am in southern Indiana, and I hit Scott, Clark, and Jennings counties. If anyone is in that area shoot me a pm and I will work out dump banks with ya.
The tellers at one of my banks tells me there is another coin collector that dumps , and buys there too. He must not be a copperhead 'cause I have never been skunked there.
Happy hunting oober. |

Welcome to the party of change!
We have about 200 or so active posting members at any given time. At least another few hundred non-posting registered lurkers and an unknown number but significant group of guests (many of which are sorting). Due to the fact our hobby is cold hard cash and precious metals, it is best if we are not too specific about our locations. That said, there are clues and we do give general areas we are from.
I know that several members can exist happily in a city without tripping over each other as there are a few examples here. A lot of the the dumped coin goes into bags and machines and heads back to the FED. I'd just go do your hobby and not worry about it unless you often get what must be someone's rejects. Then try to figure out who and coordinate with them. Your biggest threats to good percentages are actually your own dumps (when they are shifted between branches of your banks) and the industrial scale sorters. |

KCMO general area. I hit several area counties. I know there are other local "large" sorters and we have no problems with stepping on each others toes. Plenty of pennies to go around. For now....

I live on the Northern coast of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. I sort where ever I happen to be and there is a bank willing to sell me coins. So far that has occurred in 48 of the 50 US'es of A, Northern Mexico and Southwestern Canada, eh?. I'm always hoping to expand my territory. I'll try to go slow the next time I'm in Southeastern Cheeseconson, :) |

I haven't ever seen anything specific enough posted publicly for anyone to worry about. I'm in The Phila suburbs.......
That will narrow it down to within a hundred square miles or so..

oober.. there are about 5 or 6 serious sorters on the board from WI. I am in Northern CA. I know several local sorters here, and we never step on each other. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

There are plenty of pennies to go around in WI. If I remember right, the percentages are 25% or better.. a lot better than the 20% I get out here. |

SE Wisconsin here too, and my numbers are typically 25-30% cu, with 0.5% wheats (about 10 per 2,000).
Anyone else from WI reading this? Send a PM and say Hi!

Those %'s sound about right, although I haven't had that much luck with wheats.
Although I am avg 1 grozsy ( no value that I know of) for every 5 boxes.
