My oldest is an 1854 Indian Head. However is was a pretty beat up coin. It had some warp to it. However the date is pretty easily read.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

"This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the "hidden" confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard." Alan Greenspan, 1966.

That was the date I thought it would be. Still a very nice coin and one of the oldest ones found. That was the oldest I had found until today.

Found 3 Indians today.. a 1908, an 1896 and an 1859!!!

That was the reaction I was looking for. I take it you are not part of that "non-believers" group?
