Depends what the dates are. If they are all common dates it is not a great deal. If they are a good mix of dates then it is an O.K. deal.

Even if it is all 40's and 50's it would be ok as long as there are S mints in the mix.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Buy em! Open some and if they are 40s and 50s you can resell them for what you spent. If there are better dates then you make out.

I have the guys business card and i bought one roll. it yielded 40s,50s and a 28. Also a 47S and 2 48S's that look cleaned and a 50S. Would anyone here buy at 4 cents apiece?

if there was a 28 in it then he didn't search them. yeah, i would buy them at 4 cents, search if for the pre-40s, and sell whats left for 4 cents each.

Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

Try to buy five or so rolls so that you can get a more accurate sample. If he is unwilling, forget it.

Since the rolls are labeled you can assume there will be no 1909-S coins.. those only get thrown in on a batch here on RealCent. 1.90 a roll is a fair price.. you probably won't find them much cheaper.

If I had the money at the time I would buy them no problem. It's unlikely they will go down in value. You mentioned you're young, so if you can just get them and put them away, you could sell them to the next generation of Realcenters!

Are you throwing that out?

I'm always impressed and happy when youngsters come here.

I think it take a mature mind for a kid to find this forum interesting.

If I could go back I would definitely have been more involved in numismatics.

If you want the cents, buy them. Buy what you like.

The price is definitely not a rip-off. I just don't see the downside.

You have plenty of time to see a profit.

I cant wait to see what you get, I personally would reroll them after looking through them and throw them in the safe. You are then off to a great start at and early age on a future investment

Hey Kiwi, I think that is a great deal. Unsearched wheat rolls are going for $7 on ebay right now. If you dont want them I'll gladly take them all... :)

hey end, by "taking them all" do you mean buy the 40's and 50's or the unsearched rolls? and if so for how much?

I meant all the unsearched rolls. You don't have anything to lose on the deal... Personally, I love wheats... Just search 'em and hold on...
