Can anyone tell me how to go about selling my different copper pennies, I have 30 lbs.? Like where is the best place and going rates? Is there a premium to red AU copper pennies, early wheats, 68s-74s, etc.? Also does anyone buy copper Canadians and where is a good place to sell older numismatic Canadian cents?

the best overall place to sell now is ebay. they kill you a little with the fees but on average you'll make a little more. if you are a smaller sorter it's worth it to pull the above out and sell by themselves |
Buying CU cents!!!! Paying 1.2 unlimited amounts wanted. Can pick up if near Ohio area. |

eBay can be good, but the fees kill almost all profits. |

I believe here would be best, unless you can find someone locally to purchase from you. |

It's been awhile since I last sold something on ebay. Yesterday I posted a few coin auctions and saw what ebay now charges for Final value fee!!! I almost fell off my chair - 9%! Add that percentage fee along with what paypal charges and your paying almost 13%...
Drpineapple - I would def try to sell through this site, or try doing google searches to find copper cent buyers, and then if you still cant find a buyer then try ebay, but just be aware of that they ROB you ! |

Ebay if you can sell them the profit is still higher than here. however people are asking for copper here so the demand is here. Some locations on Craigslist are also buying coppers.

You'll find that 69 lb lots work well since they fit in a flat rate box. |

I'm curious as to what prices you guys are buying or selling for? what's a good price to buy at the moment? I just picked some up off ebay for a bit less then 1.41x including shipping. I was hoping for more like 1.3x but figured what the heck, and actually didnt think I would win as a few previous auctions was going to 1.5x+. |

You need to sell the wheats by themselves...they will bring more than just regular copper. |

spike's comment illustrates another side of ebay, especially on copper.
It is sometimes hit or miss. One time you'll sell at 1.5 X or better,
and another time it may go for as little as 1.3 X |
