Poll Question:
How large is your completely DATE SORTED and counted hoard? This only counts whatever you have 100% accounted for!
Cents only.

Date sorted? If you have time to date sort you aren't sorting enough.
Singing *They'rell be time enough for countin' when the sortin's done* |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Is this for Date Sorted AND Counted? or pennies that have been date sorted and then counted??
I have date sorted pennies, but I don't know exactly how many they are. Like rolls?
or like: 1959-1981 |

I date sort pre 1909, 1909- 1958, 1959-1982. It is not nice to be greedy. Where much has been given much is required. So, I give back most of my coins. In fact, I give back all post 1982 along with some 1982's. I only keep approx 20% of the date sorted coins and give back some 80% to the community. It almost feels charitable. |
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities. |

And he that hath lyberte ought to kepe hit wel / For nothyng is better than lyberte / For lyberte shold not be wel sold for alle the gold and syluer of all the world. -Caxton's edition of Aesop's Fables, 1484 |

I never thought of it like this before. I definately need to stop date sorting and step way up on the sorting!! Makes cents err.. sense to sort like crazy for now and date sort and roll later when the percentages are way down! Thanks guys. |

I sort as much by condition as by date. My catagories are:
Pre-1940 wheats 1940 - 1958 wheats 1959 - 1981 coppers Copper Selects - interesting looking 1960s coppers in decent condition and any "s" mints I find. AU Coppers Cull Coppers "ugly Abes" 1982 (weighed) coppers Canadian Young Queens/Kings Canadian coppers (1965 -1996)
As I already have too many catagories, I see no point in sorting by year. |
