Interesting some of the common characteristics of coin searchers. I also find myself draw to coins shops when I have hit a long dry streak. I buy walking liberty and barber halfs at melt or high quality Morgan/Peace dollars for $16 when I have been on a long dry streak. It reduces my immediately available cash, and therefore reduces my seaching a bit, but it is somehow satisfying. |

1st FREAK Occurrence: 1 Box was sealed with CWRs inside! WTF? I've never seen this...It was a SKUNK of course...
2nd FREAK Occurrence: I found a 70S Proof..My first 70 of any kind!
Box # 1-SKUNK 2-SKUNK 3-SKUNK (Clad proofs- 71,88,91,96,01,07) 4-SKUNK 5-SKUNK 6-(1)40%-'67/(Clad proofs-84,89,90x2,91) 7-(3)40%-'67x2,'68 8-SKUNK 9-SKUNK 10-(1)90%-'64 JFK 11-SKUNK 12-SKUNK 13-SKUNK 14-SKUNK-CWR's in a sealed box! (Clad proofs-71,89,95,98) 15-(2)90%-'64 JFKx2/(8)40%-'66x2,'67x5,'69/ Also got a nice '87P 16-(1)90%-'64 JFK/(4)40%-'65,'68x2,70S Proof! 17-SKUNK 18-SKUNK 19-SKUNK 20-SKUNK 21-SKUNK 22-SKUNK
You rock! That's a lot of searching. Right there with you. Only way sometimes is volume. I filled a lot of proof holes in my albums on recent finds. I wasn't going to cut into boxed proof sets to fill albums anyway. I get more satisfaction finding them.

If I could get high quality Morgan dollars for $16 each I probably wouldn't even have enough money to sort pennies. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Have you searched 2 boxes here? If so, how many SILVERs in each box? |

It seems famine season came in early for me this year. Box #2 was a complete skunk.. not even a NIFC. Fortunately, being a somewhat corpulant hoarder, I can survive a bit of famine. Starting a new streak.. consecutive skunk box streak now stands at 1.
Looks like fasteddy got 10 and 2 silvers on his 2 boxes. Boy, if I could get some boxes like that.. |

I agree with you there Hoard. If I could get high quality Morgans for $16.00 apiece my copper sorting days would be over, and I probably would have a hard time paying the light bill. All money would be going into Morgans. My dealer sold me a roll of higher quality pre 1900 Morgans for $19.00 apiece and I though that was a good buy. |
COPPER - the "poormans" precious metal!!!
SELLING - $100.00 face copper shipped to you for $189.00 machine rolled or bagged - PM me if your interested. |
