Hello Fellow SILVER treasure hunters:
In April 2010, please post your finds right here.
HIGHLIGHTS OF March's SILVER SEARCHING:
March 2010 was a month that exceeded all expectations - 12kHz and zerocd had monster boxes, JJM had a monster vault bag. This month surpassed anything seen before in finding SILVER halves. HoardCopperByTheTon captured 51 SILVER dimes from some CWRs - 22 of them were Mercury dimes. 12kHz finds more SILVER halves in March 2010 than most searchers find in a whole year: 896 SILVER halves.
1) JJM started the month with a stupendous score on March 6 - a 397 SILVER half vault bag - 89 - 90%ers and 308 - 40%ers.
2) Dumpster Diver finds the first 2010 half dollar on 3/10 - "90" of them.
3) On March 13, 12kHz is back in business finding a 155 SILVER box containing 153 - 40%ers and 2 - Ben Franklins.
4) On March 20, HoardCopperByTheTon gets his first two half boxes and finds SILVER in the first box he searches.
5) Things get hotter as zerocd gets 6 half boxes on March 23 loaded with SILVERs - a 132 box and a 140 box. Also, he found 4 Barber halves (1906-O, 1907, 1907-O, and 1908) and a scarce 1926 Sequicetennial of American Independence SILVER commemorative in these boxes.
6) On March 25, 12kHz blows everyone away with 3 monster half boxes: a 131 SILVER box, a 235 SILVER box, and a fantastic 311 SILVER DREAM box.
7) zerocd makes some great finds this month: a 1907 V-nickel and a 1925-D Buffalo nickel.
8) On March 5 and March 23, respectively, gothboi30 and slickeast find their first Walkers.
(9) garnede beats all competition finding 76 SILVER dimes during the month of March.
(10) zerocd finds 49 War Nicks during the month of March; finding more than everyone else combined.
(11) It was a record month for finding SILVER halves: 3203 SILVER half dollars were found during March.
As the first quarter of the year ends, the best SILVER searchers are showing their excellent ability to find SILVERs. While there have been 10 SILVER searchers that have found 250 or more SILVER half dollars so far in 2010, 12kHz has found more than 25% of all the SILVER halves reported in 2010: 2028 ; leaving everyone else in the dust. Zerocd has the best SILVER searcher score so far in 2010; searching through more nickels and halves than anyone else, finding more War Nicks than anyone and in third place finding SILVER halves. Garnede leads all SILVER dime searching, in 2010, finding 100 SILVER dimes this year.
It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2010 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2010 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.
It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

arghhhhhhhhh, my favorite teller tells me today, she has $300 in halves saved for me. and i only had 80 b ucks on me.
4--20 dollar rolls. yield one 64, three 40s... 65,67,69
i knew i should have headed to the coin counter first. now i will have to wait to tomorrow to get the rest. |

went to the town south of tucson, green valley . mostly retires. ..
cwr ,10.00 skunk
hit teh next exit, compass bank. 60$ CWR. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, solid roll , 12 -64, 6 bens, and 2 walkers, plus 10 more 40%
