In the process of updating... I'm sawing through over 2 months worth of finds... And meanwhile I remembered I had found a few that I hadn't yet reported. I was digging through a friend's penny jar the other day and found 4 wheats. Two were pre-40!

- We now have over 1400 Lincolns reported.
- Three dates have over 100 reported: 1936, 1937, 1939. I think 1939 was the first to top the century mark.
- We're down to 9 missing from our "group set." Should still be able to find a 1921S, with a mintage of over 15.2 million. Then maybe a 1932D. After that, who knows if we'll find the others. Anything's possible, I guess. |

Got a 1919 D ... an OK coin but this one, though a pretty common date is really nice condition ... a very clean and very clear XF cent. I'll take more like that one

I think it's nice to have this thread as an actual gauge of a coin's relative rarity... I bet this group has found literally hundreds of thousands of wheats this year, and now we know that we'll probably find about 3000 pre-40 wheats by year's end. So whereas the original mintage figures are pretty good indicators of a coin's overall rarity, we are moving toward having a nice indicator of a coin's "rarity-in-circulation."
Here's another stat for you...
09-19 finds: 366
20-29 finds: 349
30-39 finds: 702
Okay, one more...
If these finds were dumped together, we have 8 coins with "full rolls"
