I went to some cities around and made a day out of looking for LP2's. After searching around for 6 hours, I came out with $110 face value. If these sell on eBay and I make a profit of $80 a box, that's almost $60 an hour...not bad! Keep looking...they are out there.

Don't expect $80 a box profit anymore. My most recent ebay sales have been $50-$60 plus shipping. |

| I purposely overpriced mine...hopefully I will get some bites. I made buy it now $150 and the buyer can make an offer. I sold a box last week for $125. |

| Not to digress too much, but how many are you guys finding doing bag or box searching? I am in the process of hand sorting a box, and found one LP1 so far, no LP2's. |

| Coinhunter - I just finished an NF String box and came across my first circulated LP2. The box also had 8 LP1s - all P mint. Out of all the previous boxes I've done over the past month, I've been averaging 1 or 2 LP1s per box. |

Nice! So far I have hand sorted 1 1/2 boxes this weekend and only found 1 LP2. Maybe the 2nd half of the box will yield some more, but I would rather find wheats or wild Indians anyway. |

| I've found a few hundred over the past few bags. It seems we are saturated with them. |

| has anyone see any recent mintage figure for the LP2'S? I have quite a few of the mint wrapped boxes and was hoping to sell them later on but im not sure they are going to be anywhere near as desirable as the LP1 |

| I've only found about 30 LP1's and 1 LP2 after hand sorting about 2K face worth in the past 3 months. They must be rare here in michigan. |

Its much easier to just call the banks and ask them before you go around to them.
Also the LP2 prices have taken a dramitic fall now that the distribution system is starting to go again. |

| Actually it seems that the tellers lie or are too lazy to check whether they had any. I called around to some of the banks in my city and they all said they didn't have any, yesterday I got 6 more boxes out of 8. |

I've got one hand roll of the lp2 - total. A teller had it in her tray and said some guy from NY dropped them off in a small bag. Found one die crack coin in the roll, it was on the mallet. I've managed a few boxes of LP1 lately. Some tellers get pretty angry when I ask to buy all they have while others will gladly round up every roll in the place for them.
