Hey one off my local coin shops just got in a lot of Canadian coins, I guess someone must have sold them. No silver, but I noticed that he was selling the cents @ face value as I was leaving. I know that purchasing them for copper is a great find, but are there any other types of key dates or varieties I should look for when going through them? Thanks in advance!

Aside from copper pennies (pre-97) and nickel nickels (pre-82), you may want to check this link for a comprehensive Canadian coin price guide. It's a little dated, but will indicate "key dates" for sure:

| just got back from the shop.....started sorting through about 100 and realized the newest was a 69! tons of george VI and george Vs!!!! i will be sorting by decade and will post once im done. 1076 total @ face. |
