Excellent finds- congrats! |
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities. |

The bank closest to my office didn't have any pennies Friday, so I asked about Nickels. They had 4 rolls, one was obviously short. I bought the 3 full rolls and when the Teller counted the short roll, she found they were all Canadian coins and told me they didn't sell Canadian coins. I asked what would happen with that roll, she asked her Manager and it was decided that that roll would be "written off" and disposed of. Long story short, I got them for free. The oldest was 1942, the newest was 1964 and there was a superb quality 1945 "We Won the War" chrome. The other rolls (all American coins) had 12 War Nickles!

Very, very nice! (For reasons unknown to me, I am drooling quite a bit every time I get on this forum to read the posts. )
Really cool finds. Continued success. |

Gotta love solid Ni roll for free. The chrome ones are exceddingly rare in circulation too. |
