Thanks for sharing this article. Its good to know that silver will be in demand for future technologies. Kinda restores the confidence during silvers current downtrend.

Solar power costs more then it's output is worth. Maybe one day it will might actually be worth the materials used to create it.

Actually, over the lifetime of the cells, it produces far more than the energy cost to make them. What you are referring to is in comparison to other energy production, and the time it takes to where the cost would balance out minus time value of money. Even then, they produce more than the cost...excluding time value of money.

But if you're one of the doom and gloom crowd who believes the dollar is heading to almost zero value, it kind of takes out the time value of money out of the equation.
