Easy enough to get the 1000 foot rolls of wrappers for halves.. but you need an automatic wrapping machine to use those. Very convenient though. Another option is to find a bank with a lobby coin counter or who will take them loose in a bag so you don't have to roll them.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

You're right; most will have a minimum order. I've used GeneralBankSupply, but their minimum order is $25. However, buy a bunch of coin wrappers ($3.68/1000), some canvas bags ($1.10 each), and you're there. Why not buy more than you need and sell the rest to Realcent friends?

You can get half wrappers at You must be logged in to see this link.

I have used them for several supply related purchases and each transaction went through smooth.

You can also catch them on Ebay cheap enough sometimes. While I have bought from bank supply houses, their minimums and absurd shipping fees kill me.

If you are using them for storage of your halves, you could get plastic tubes. They are only about 30 cents apiece at the coin shows and you can physically see in them.

You may want to ask around at other banks. Here, some banks have them, some don't.

The whole storage thing is mindboggling. I bought a bunch of plastic tubes- I figured- plastic for nice coins- then junk can be other. But plastic kept some 87 eagles pristine. The tubes I bought among 2 vendor round screw lids- are crap- and crapier. The lids don't thread or snug well. So the lid comes off the coins fly. Yet- I have a tube I bought 20 years ago- and that tube- is decent...in fact- I have old tubes per other coins all better then todays tubes.

I thought of that- then I thought- I would have to be a customer. lol.

The burlap bags --I don't care for for 90% that is look close to uncirculated.

The storage thing. Man- I could have 3+ oz for what I spent on that. Tho- postage- paypal and other fees could be- ....the same argument. The thing is when 2nd quarter reports come out- I expect silver to jump.

I took two paper quarter wrappers, the type with one end crimped, I unfastened the crimped end of each, I taped them together to make a wide wrapper, and used it to wrap my 40% halves.
It works as good as a regular paper wrapper.

The solution doesn't have to be expensive/complicated when you improvise.

I change with the times-
but like silver coins found in your change
I stay the same.

Canvas Bags - For my junk silver, I roll the coins in paper wrappers. Then, I place the rolls that have been wrapped into different canvas bags by coin type (Washingtons, Kennedys, Roosevelts, etc.). For a large amount of coins, this keeps the silver coins from grinding against each other.

Silver - I hope you're right. However, if you want to BUY, it's now getting cheaper and cheaper .

Ask banks, a lot of them give bunches out for free if they have them.

I just use paper wrappers to store. I rubberband 10 rolls together. Tubes are not worth buying for junk silver unless you have a lot that is AU/BU or soemthing.

One of my banks wraps all of the halves that I bring to them while I'm standing at the counter. So, on a whim, I brought them $60 worth of silver halves that I had counted and recounted to make sure, then asked them to roll them and give them back to me. Now I have six nice rolls of halves that are professionally crimped with "Clad 1965-1969" written on the side. Worked great.
