Hey everyone thought I would share my finds today.
I went to the bank today to make a deposit. I asked them if they had gotten any halves that came in. She told me 2 rolls and went and got them for me.
First roll was ALL 40% SILVER!!!!
Second roll was 18 40% SILVER 1 90% SILVER and 1 clad!!!!!!!
All it takes is 1 person to make a dump to make it worth the effort to hunt!

Don't you just love it when the teller says we've got two or three rolls of halves. You can almost feel the silver vibrations as the teller brings you the CWRs  . |

Super congrats on that find! Sure wish your luck would rub off on me. I did get quite a few rolls recently to go through but no silver, and no son's birth year either for the coin project. But, at least I had some rolls to search and that is a huge improvement.

Yeah, a while back I found two rolls of walkers and franklins and posted pics. Granted most of the world lies to us, but I believe us to be an honest bunch of people for the most part. |

i was joking, kinda in line with the "half hunting is a waste of time thread". I have a weird sense of humor that's kinda dry/caustic. Sometimes it doesnt translate on the internet too well 
if someone actually goes around posting "fake finds", they probably have bigger personal issues. I'd be more inclined to feel sorry for them rather than upset.

It is hard to believe sometimes.... And if you've tried it many times and never had any luck... then it is more hard to believe.
And while my percentages aren't good at all.... I have had that roll that was 18 40%'s and 2 clads.
And I've gotten 8 loose halves from a teller before and 3 were walking liberties, one was a franklin, one was a 40% and 3 were clad!! WOW! |

| they are still out there thats for sure, just went thru two boxes the fist had 9-40's 3-90's 2-franklins 50-60 and 3 proofs 68-72-91 and the second box was a skunk. If your in it for money you wont enjoy it as much, but if your in if for the thrill of seeing that silver looking back at you when you peel back the paper on a roll than your in if for the right reason. but we all know that someday we will sell our stash or maybe hand it down to the kids or grandkids. |

i went to visit a preacher friend of mine. we got to talking about coins after he showed me coins he has collected from his overseas travels.
he told me he had gone to the bank to get 4 rolls of halves to pay his kids. they were all silver. all 4 rolls. 90%. some were ben's.
now here we are running around to every bank looking for silver and he justs picks up 4 rolls like it is an everyday thing.
just gotta be at the right place at the right time. |

| well you said the magic words, they had customers bring some halves in. IMO this obviously your odds increase exponentially. It is my opinion that buying brinks boxes of halves is a complete and utter waste of time and energy |

| Yeah, I just finished sorting my first (and last) $500 box of halves. Forget that crap. I found a whole lot of friggin' nuthin'. I'll stick to the less glamorous pennies. |

never mind that 1934-D walker that was at the end of one of the rolls in the box I picked up today. Or that 1944 walker that was in the same roll. 99% of all finds are lies! |

so the regional bank I'm pulling the halves from now told me their vault really wants to get rid of their halves. I was like "oh how convenient, I'm looking to buy a lot more halves". I now have $5000 weekly orders set up with them.
This is from a bank branch that absolutely refused to order halves for me a few months back. I also offered to pay for any transportation or other costs associated with moving the halves, to which they refused. I suggested that I was doing them a favor by taking them off their hands (non circulating currency that no one wants), and after a while, they started to agree with my assessment. Interesting what a little professionalism & bribes (I mean boxes of candies) will do. Pay to play. |

good for you, you're much luckier than most though. I do not believe people lie about their finds but what they do not do is generally speak about how much they get skunked. In the end I've found boxed half sorting to be a futile endeavor which ends up costing you more in time and gas than you will ever make. You'd be better off spending that time at a minimum wage job and using the proceeds to purchase silver |

Rolls of Walkers, Bens or Early Kennedy's gets the blood pumping.
If you don't try and look you won't find them, if you do then you'll get the rush.
