Have many people found proof cents when they are sorting? I found a 1986s proof last night and was wondering if anyone else has found proofs in circulation.

Found a 1999 and a 2000 I believe in last week's sorts.

First time ever finding penny proofs for me. Since they're copper, the ryedale rejected them out of the zinc accept.

Both were impaired however. One with scratches on the obverse. The other had a fingerprint on the reverse.

I've found 3. They stand out because they are so bright, even though they're scratched up.

Trust the government? Ask an Indian.

I found a 1981-S proof last year. Only one I've ever found.

I have found some but they are few and far between. Only exception was the collection I picked up at the bank- that one had over 1000 wheats and 30-40 proofs all mixed together.

I've gotten a 1986-s proof penny, that was heavily used, before. I don't normally pay too much attention to the mint marks of the zincers.

No, I have never found any proof coins while searching.

But, I can continue to hope.

Enjoy.
