I know there are some seasoned hoarders on here. I was wondering how much of a drop in percentage ya'll have seen over the last couple of years.
If you starting in 2006 and are still sorting now you have to now deal with the 07,08,& 09 pennies in your boxes. Plus all the loss of all the CU pennies that have been pulled since then.

| I've dropped from about 50% to about 33% on Canadian pennies in a year. If I can score some actual CWR and not teller wrapped rolls it seems to be better. Lots of 2007 and 2008 out there. |

Wouldn't mind having to deal with some of those 09 pennies in my boxes.. hasn't been a problem yet.
When you start off low, you don't have far to fall. My percentages have only slipped from 21% in 2006 to 20% currently. I "just sort more."  |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

From October 2006 to October 2007, I was averaging 23.8% copper out of circulation.
From May 2008 to May 2009, I've been averaging 22.3% copper out of circulation.
I don't think the 1.5% drop is statistically significant.

I dropped from 44% or so to about 20%. I then stopped ordering brinks boxes, I was doing about 3-5 hundred a week before the ultra low percentages. I now have 5 total banks that give me their cwr. So on a good week I'll average a hundred dollars.
I'm working on getting another credit union to sell me their pennies. They have 1-2 bags every week the lady said.
I once counted/sorted all the pennies for a school penny war. I got about 30% for that, IIRC.
I'd like to search more, but something killed my percentages in only a 6 month time. So, I'm not really pursuing ordering boxes again. |

| I've only been around 15% on boxes since I started in earnest this year. Tellers at 2 of my pickup banks mentioned that there's other people doing the same. Also, my area seems like it's being flooded with zincs. |

22.6% for 4 boxes today.
60 lbs on the dot for 8 bags the day before. depending on the wear that is 21.9% minimum
