Well almost a 1/4 ton. Hand sorted since August of 2006 which is when I found this forum. Double hand sorted for accuracy. NO 1982's included. I weighed them on the bathroom scale in the two seperate containers which were pretty heavy. I think I'm light by about 30 pounds or so. I just save pocket change copper now. Mrs. Cupronickle hated me for dumping these dirty things on the rug but I had to do it to share with the forum. The photo doesn't do it justice because the pile is over a foot high.

That is ... awesome. I've never seen that many pennies in a pile before. I can't believe you would dump them on the floor just to have to pick them back up again! I think I see a Zincoln in there...

| No Zincoln in there. No way. Not a chance. Double hand sorted for accuracy. I found lots of shiney coppers! I have some 1964's that look like they were minted yesterday. I'm picking them up now. Mrs. Cupronickle is very upset. I may be heading off to the supermarket to rent a steam cleaner for the carpet this afternoon. |

| Thanks so much for the great shot of your copper cent hoard. That's really impressive and inspiring. |
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of it's victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busy-bodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Mmmm...looks like real money to me. I like it!
My old lady would have a fit if I did that. She already was not happy with me for storing some of the hoard in the utility closet, forcing the vacuum cleaner to have to be lifted from about a foot high off of penny boxes instead of rolling right out. Oh well...she stopped complaining when I paid for a trip to Jamaica for us 2 months ago. |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

| Wow. |
Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ. |
