Well it was raining this morning so I thought that I would sort through a few rolls of pennies. By the time I had sorted the first 4 rolls I had found 4 George V pennies & a Newfoundland penny - my first! The George V were from 1928, 1929, 1932 & a 1933 in fine to very good condition. The Newfoundland penny was a 1943. These were made up to 1948 as in 1949 they officially joined Canada.
The Credit Union has been giving up some good stuff. Now if I could just find a 1922, 1923, 1924 & etc...
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities.
