How many boxes do you sort through each week? I am seeing people VERY successfully selling 1982 and prior pennies by the pound on Ebay. I am getting 8 boxes of pennies per week.

Buying CU cents!!!! Paying 1.2 unlimited amounts wanted. Can pick up if near Ohio area. |

I average a hand sort total of about two to four boxes a week. Gotta leave some coppers in circulation for Hoard!  |

$100 face every two weeks. Getting very good Cu ratios, and coupla IHs recently, but my cents come from Brinks, not the Fed.

between 10 & 15 boxes. I'm lucky because I work within walking distance of 8 bank branches that I have membership. So every week, I just bounce from branch to branch picking up a box or two. No extra money spent on gas.
there's probably another 4-5 bank branches that I could frequent if I got membership at those banks too. |

Most of the people on ebay selling copper pennies by the pound are not making much if any after shipping, insertion fees, final value fees, and paypal fees. Keep that in mind.

I better check out those ads on eBay. Maybe I should be selling some there. I've got a few spare pounds laying around.
I appreciate DesertTumbleweed leaving all those coppers in circualtion for me.. really considerate of him.
I peaked at 100 boxes a week.. but I have scaled back a bit.. that darn day job keeps interfering with all my fun.  |

You must have a pretty good day job if you can put aside 25 $25 boxes of copper in a week. That's $2500 face per month. |

It was actually 100 boxes per week instead of per month. The trick is cycling your capital. You have to get them all sorted fast and turn in the zincs so you have the $ available to buy your next batch. Even with lots of machines, at that level it takes a little time. |
