Does anybody know the content of the hog pennies? I found a couple in a roll and was wondering if I should threw it in the copper bucket or zinc

hello big l, welcome to the forum, bermuda hog cent is made of bronze, first issued in 1970 got its name from early sailors trowing hogs over board they swam to the island of bermuda put your bermuda cents with the copper cents Weight is 3.08 grams each PEACE!!

Thanks for the info - found a couple myself. I throw them in the international coin bin as they have novelty factor worth more then a copper penny to me. Don't like pigs in maple leaf bin.

Bermuda cents 1970-1987 are bronze.
Bermuda cents 1988-1990 are copper-plated steel.
Bermuda cents 1991-present are copper-plated zinc.
