So I know some of you big time sorters must have carts that you use to haul the cents from the banks (carts, dollies, 2 wheel truck what ever else you call them) I was thinking about looking into getting one myself, granted I'm no big time sorter but lugging ~100 pounds at a time to the 2nd floor is getting to me :)
But before I made a instant gratification purchase I decided it would be best to see what has worked for you guys (pictures appreciated) home made carts? a regular u haul type dolly?
What is easy to get into the bank doors and out (though most have handicap buttons I can cheat with) And do you draw a bunch more attention lugging something like that around?
Just trying to get some opinions and what not.

| I took the 2 wheeled cart that I already had and bungied a milk crate onto it. I also put a piece of wood in the bottom of the milk crate to re-enforce it. The result would haul about a dozen boxes of pennies. ..which for me was one bank order. Maybe it was not the ideal cart, but it cost 0 because I used stuff that I already had. |

| I recently opened an account with Wells Fargo to take advantage of the free coin counting. I was using 1 gallon zip locks to put my zincs in then in a grocery bag incase they came open. Carried them in 2 at a time. Tuesday I started in and a nice lady was rushing to the door with here cart to help me. She told me just to ask and she would come out and assist me in getting the coins in. She also gave me some bags to use so I don't have to do the gallon zip locks. Just ask, maybe your bank has one of those nice carts you might use. I guess since I am a senior citizen, she felt a need to assist me lol. One good thing about getting old. |

I use an old 2 wheel handtruck that my dad had in the basement. it just happened to work perfect with the large cat litter pail I use. it has a wobbly wheel and it might give out one day.
I do have a flat 4 wheel doll that I picked up at home depot. I use it to bring in my bags and boxes I pick up. it has a 500lb limit.
try to use whatever you have that is free. then when yhou do have to spend money. try to spend the least amount. that will give you more money for searching. |

amazon has a 4 wheel cart that folds flat for about $30 bucks - holds 330 lbs. also have a similar cart that holds 660 for a little more.
if you don't cart a lot of bags big lots has a luggage carrier type cart with a built in crate that folds flat for about $15.
I ahve the 330 lb cart and have loaded it with 6 or 8 bags of pennies and it works well. that said, i regret not getting the stronger one because it was just a few bucks more. |

| Every time I bring in anything more than about $75 in pennies, the banks I go to throw a fit! |
I enjoy taking long walks off short piers. |

| Your bank should never be upset about pennies. Most of them don't count anymore, they just assume its ok, and if not, they are willing to take the loss (1 cent?). Too costly to count them , all they do is ship them out anyway. |

I have the bigger version of what Lemon Thrower has.. 660 pound capacity. Mine is a little bent up.. but still rolling after a couple of years of hard use. The best feature is the fold down handle so it fits in your trunk. I also have a a MagnaCart for small loads.. 150 pound capacity. I also have a wagon with a 1000 capacity I use for moving small quantities around the penny processing center. I have never taken that one to a bank. |

| if i had it to do over again, i would go with the 660 version. i have used this to move bags of dirt and other things around my yard - well from my driveway down a long sidewalk to my back yard. 660 would be better but i have loaded it with 8 bags of pennies and its done ok. really, any more than that and its too heavy to push. |

The wagon would be perfect for moving bags of dirt around the yard. It has the right kind of tires for going across a yard. All 4 panels are hinged so they can be dropped or easily removed. I can just imagine loading it up with 1000 pounds of pennies at the bank and then having it get away from me at the top of the walkway ramp.. that would be scary.. and I don't think my insurance would cover it. |
