I was looking at my Quarter that I purchased on ebay and It look like a I bought 4 fake coins. What should I do? Its been 6-8 months since I bought them online can ebay help? Wow, I didn't think I was going to get any fakes in my life. Its a 1934 and its been worn out so I don't think it is, I NEED HELP! Has this happen to anyone and what or how did you fix the problem?

How much money is involved - your cost? What makes you think its a fake?

It has light black shadow around Washington's head. The cardboard case they sent it in is small so that you cant see it edge. And it is not as heavy as a regular quarter. Last night I put it near a 1964 W. Q. and the color was completely different. I didn't notice because it was in its case and the case had a shine to it, which made it look like a regular silver shine.

Maybe we could help if your able to post a really detailed picture?

Another option would be to take them into a local coin dealer and see what he says about them.

Before you buy anymore coins from Ebay, get a digital gram scale that is accurate to .01 grams.

regardless of the time involved, if it's fake, they should take it back. Unless of course they would like to consider the penalty for mail fraud. (I assume it was mailed)

Well, I've been hearing about fakes a lot and when I looked at 4 out of 12 Washington Quarters they seem to look a lot different. How do I post a pic for you to see? I have a mac so anyone who has a mac and knows how to upload please help.

you'll have to get the pics on your computer & upload to a website like imageshack.us. Then post the link.

You could do a test using sound. Get a regular quarter, known silver quarter, and one of the 4 "fakes".

Drop the regular quarter & silver quarter on the table. Note the difference in sound pitch. then do the "fake". If the fake isn't silver, it wont sound like the silver quarter.
