Today I sat down at the kitchen table to go through my 10 rolls of pennies. Its pouring rain outside & I got a nice hot cup of tea. Nothing good on TV for 20 minutes or so. Working my way to the 6 or 7th roll I get 42 Canadian centennial pennies. You know, the ones with the rock dove. Wow, almost a full roll of them. Then I realize that all the pennies in this roll were copper - another first for me!!

This weekend has been pretty good coin roll wise!

Happy hunting all!!

Nice. Yes. Very nice.

I've got only one with the dove, what's it worth? Is it like the US "drumer" quarters?

As far as I know, it is stated "In God We Trust" on the US dollar. How can I trust this currency if I do not believe in God?

Possession is nine-tenths of the law.

When I give my two cents, they're always copper!

The doves are worth a small premium. Depending on how many you have and who you find to buy them.

They're beautiful coins. I wish mine was in better condition. I still keep the US bicentennial "drummer" quarters, just because they're different. I know they don't have any added value now, but over time maybe they will, who know? There were so many minted and people hoard them, so probably not.

Nice score Bart!
I really think the Canuk-A-Dove Cent is a beautiful coin.
They will be worth more the longer you keep them.
I keep mine seperate from my other Canuk-A-Cents.

There's profit if you melt things!!

I have a few of those. More than I thought I'd find in FL.

Are you throwing that out?

Hi Bart

I got 3 boxes of pennies at WF and found lots of Canadian pennies also. Never saw so many Canadians and Coppers since I started sorting. I was thrilled to say the least. Wish I could get more boxes like that. Too far to drive back and get more the day I got the 3 boxes.
