I went to the bank the other day to get some pennies, and asked about some halves as well. They didn't have any rolls, but I noticed a few loners in the tray at the vacant window next to me. When I asked if I could have them she said "No problem" amd handed them over. Turned out to be two 40%ers and a 1963 Franklin! Not bad for $1.50!
Wow nice finds!! Cant beleive the teller didnt snatch up the franklin. She probably didnt know what its worth or that its silver, but most people keep coins that "look differnt" because they think they are worth something
I always ask for halves when I go to the bank. I'll take whatever they have. Once I remove any silver, I'll save up the clad until I get enough to buy some silver at the local shop!
