I think it's dumb. However, if your a dealer and want to sell, those are sort of the gimmic type things that new collectors think is great. Other than that I see no purpose. If you keep your coins in 2x2's, then to replace a coin, you just replace the coin. If you use those things, you have to open it, replace the coin you want, possibly touch or damage the others, also expose the others to the air, then re staple if that is how you seal them. Of course quarters, half dollars and full size dollars don't really make it in those to well. For the average person the 2x2's is what should be used. And if your planning on selling your coins, don't forget someone may want only one, not all three so now what? And if you go to coin shows you would notice that most dealers have switched to the smaller 1-1/2x1-1/2 inch size flips instead of the 2x2's. |
