1965-1973

20 francs .680 silver .4372 oz silver

*********************
French Nickel Coins
If you can find them cheap enough and you hoarde nickel coins, buy
1 franc coins 1960-1996 (after that date they seem to be mint set coins)
2 franc coins 1979-1998
1/2 franc 1965-1998
5 franc coins 1933-1939
***************************
gold french coins

of special note is the centime (one cent coin) dated 2000 and 2001
.750 gold .0603 oz gold weight
These were the last years the centime was struck before being replaced by the Euro. Sort of like if the Lincoln cent were minted in gold during its last year of existance (I hope I am not giving the US Mint any ideas.)

100 francs
.900 gold .9335 oz gold 1907-1913 1914 year is rare

50 francs .900 gold .4467 oz gold 1901

20 francs .900 gold .1867 oz gold 1906-1914

10 francs .900 gold .0933 oz gold
1901-1914

I change with the times-
but like silver coins found in your change
I stay the same.

Will The United States of America end up as the New Imperial Rome?

Jeez those years are a minefield I'll have to print that out and take it with me, it's strange that they seem to have stopped and started using silver over the years.

Hi there-

you'd probably do well to go to your local library and look for the "Krause" catalog of world coins. It has EVERY country's coins listed by date and composition. DOn't worry about the year of the catalog, you just want the info on each coin's composition. Really handy resource. DOn't know what they are going for on ebay....

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.

I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win.
