I found a 1967 Egyptian 10 quirsh (piasters)coin about the size of a quarter. It seems to ring true. Does anyone know if and what the silver content is? Also does anyone have any information about relatively modern coinage from unusual countries?

According to the enclosed Wiki link, Egypt stopped using silver in coins in 1967.

"in 1967, the silver coinage was abandoned and cupro-nickel 5 and 10 qirsh coins were introduced."
