Miracle box for me...

So I stop in to an odd "business" branch of a prominent local bank.
There ia a four hole teller counter but it sees little traffic.
This branch caters to certain business and wealthy customers.
I stop by on a whim looking for a box each of pennies and nickels so I don't have to drive out of the way.
I wait for the head teller who says, "pennies, no nickels"
I say OK and then she gets a thoughtful look and says wait a minute.
She returns with a box of each then says "in the last six years, I have been head teller and THIS box of nickels has been here all that time.
Well, there were no war niks or V niks but there were 17 hides and 30some pre-60's and a whole lot of brand new 1998-2000's
Dates:
1- 1936 and most detailed buff I now own
1- 35
1- 28D
1- 27
1- 26
1- 25
1- 23
1- 21D
3- 1920's
The rest were no dates
Edit to relook at my "21D" which doesn't exist! It's a 2 followed by a flat edge. Maybe a 1920?
Gotta get it under high magnification.

Coin Wrap Inc. box dated 10/05/2009 (again). 10/05/2009 must have been a HUGE rolling/packing day for halves at CWI!!!
(1) 90% - 62D Franklin (first 90% in some time)
(2) 40% - 67, 68D
Have only found two Franklins searching boxes and they were both 1962-D.
The 1968-D was on the end of a roll.

| No percentage here, but my mom just reported a nice find while out collecting halves, from one bank she walked away with 13 90% halves!!!!! that's her best 90% haul in a very long time!!! |

That was my Silver Santa this year. I plan to get back to that bank tommorrow with more cash to buy out their halves before they close at noon. I love getting loose halves, they have better silver finds than boxed rolls.quote:

Breakdown:
$499.50 - Coin Wrap Inc. box dated 10/05/2009 (again)...box was short 1 half dollar, but came with 2 bonus nickels.
(4) 40% - 67, (3)69D...this was nice as 69D's have been a little scarce.
(4) NIFC - 02P, 02D, 03P, 04D
$500.00 - Coin Wrap Inc. box dated 12/18/2009 (packed just a few days ago).

I got 12 boxes of halves on Wednesday - 5 more boxes to go. The SILVER is really flowing this weekend - 128 SILVERs so far.
Plenty of SILVER! 52 SILVERs in this box!
SILVER Santa has come to my house bringing me presents today! He stayed over for a second day today!
Looks for sure that I got the companion box to BOX #3 on Christmas. The dispersion of SILVER matches. Combining the two matching Brink's boxes means that the original FED bag had 95 SILVERs in it.
