$500 Halves - Brink's Box
Still watching TV and searching halves today.
I got 12 boxes of halves on Wednesday - 4 more boxes to go. The SILVER is really flowing this weekend - 145 SILVERs so far.
Nice box of SILVER! 17 SILVERs in this box!
991 40%ers found this year - only 9 more to go to get to 1000 found in 2009!
SILVER Santa has come to my house bringing me presents today! He is staying for dinner tonight!
Looks for sure that I got the companion box to the first box on Wednesday. The dispersion of SILVER matches - No 90%ers, 10+ 40%ers, 2008 NIFCs, and a bunch of clad proofs. Combining the two matching Brink's boxes means that the original FED bag had 27 SILVERs and a full roll of 2008-P NIFCs in it.

My brother and I got a similar gold-plated half dollar in one of our first boxes in November...ours is a 1983-P with 1960 stamped above the IN GOD and 1980 stamped above WE TRUST. Yours was 1960/1985...any idea what these mean???
You are really kickin' some a$$ this weekend. Congrats. We are on a four box silver skunk...can't imagine what it would feel like getting to 20!!!

I got out the fast lane in 2004 when I got layed off from my IT company after working 26 years at my last company. I told my supervisory management not to feel guilty in any way since I was planning to retire in 2005 on my own anyway. If you're financially secure, retirement let's you do your own thing.

I really don't know about the imprinted half dollars. Perhaps to celebrate some local event they were special ordered?
Don't worry about the SKUNKS. The trick is to be persistent and have a plan to ensure you don't get your own dumps back. Doing that, eventually you get to some good stuff on the half dollar pallet. |

| Put $450 into half dollar slot machines and then hit the cash out buttons to get at the halves inside. I found 3 40% halves this way. Half Dollar slot machines are getting harder to find,the local casino got rid of 3 machines this year and they all may be gone in 2010. |

| The casino is also a good place to dump the clad halves too. They're always glad to see me come in with coin. Unlike most banks who have tellers that just moan and groan about having to haul coins 10 feet to a machine that counts them for you. |

It's to commemorate the 25th anniv of JFK's inauguration. The same guy made some for the 20th as well. I've found a handful of both...nothing great but a neat coin. |

(I'm up my 5th set of NIFC's now. It's seems silly I was worried I wouldn't be able to put together enough sets for my children last Summer!)
I went to dump the dregs and the Teller at today's dump location had $30 CWR's (I bought them all):
1 '61D (with bell lines and crisp reeding!)
1 '65
2 '66
1 '68D
I'm going to keep ordering boxes thru January, but if they don't start producing, I think I'll stop with them and step up the CWR hunt until the 4th of July (sounds like a good line in the sand).

I got the question today from one of my tellers that most roll hunters hate.
"How much is an all silver half dollar worth?"
"About 6 dollars"
"Where do I cash it in?"
"At the bank.. but they will only give you face value for it."
"Where can I sell it?"
"On eBay, but the fees will eat up the profit. I'll give you $5 for it."
"OK"
I still bought the 13.50 in loose halves she had.. hoping she didn't know about 40%ers yet.- Nada

It's nice to get 90% from the teller!
I could see it shining back at me when the teller gave me the only two halves they had at the bank.
