Got all the halves at one of my banks today.. both of them.. emptied that teller tray. Didn't even know one was silver till I saw the edge as she was handing it to me. A really nice 66 40%er. I like these kinds of sorting percentages.

$360 CWR Quarters - Skunk

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

Box of halves--it stunk

Box of nickels--one war silver and a first for me...a 3 volt watch battery! Other than a button, this was my oddest find in a roll.

Searched 184.50, mostly rolls, that was every half that the bank had. I only found a 2008p NIFC. Where do you guys find rollers for halves? The bank does not even have any.

Friday
Another $100 CWR Halves:

Eau de la pew again :(

But all was not lost that day, the nice cashier at the close gas & beer store had a'64D Quarter for me and some Wheats. Oldest was a'38S! :)
I get the Cu for free, she uses the GAP/TAP tray to balance the till and the Ag was had for face.
I think my Mother was right, it is best to be polite and get along with others.

first roll i opened on a box of nickels that i've had sitting around for too long produced a War nick and a nice AU 1957 nickel. But nothing more has been mined worth mentioning.

"May your percentages ever increase!"

Been sick all week and didn't sort but took some dumps in and to my surprise...

The trashcan next to the coin counter had foreign coins and chewed up US coins an inch deep. I was able to scoop them up in about four subtle handfuls. Took a look when I got home and got coins from 12 different countries. No silver, but did get 6.50 in Euros and....

Now that's some good Dumpster Diving! Though at that level we might just have to call it Dumpster Dipping.

This is from Friday, 12/18/09.

Two boxes of halves and absolutely the best my brother and I have ever done!! I would have posted this sooner, but we just secured a camera today so that we could add pics.

$997.50 Halves.

Breakdown:

Box #1 - $498.00 (box was short 4 half dollars) - Coin Wrap Inc. box dated ??/29/2009 (incomplete date stamp).

(4) 40% - 67, (3)68D
(1) NIFC - 09D

Box #2 - $499.50 (box was short 1 half dollar) - Coin Wrap Inc. box dated 10/05/2009 (again).

(71) 40% - (2)65, (2)66, (31)67, (30)68D, (6)69D
(1) NIFC - 08D

Two rolls had silvers on both ends and four rolls had a silver on one end. Seeing the silvers on the roll ends, we expected to potentially find some Walkers/Bens in this box, but it was not to be. No 90% coins at all...only 40%'ers. Amazing find that we thought would absolutely never happen, but would not consider this to be a complete DREAM box as it did not have any 90%'ers. Incredibly happy with the 71 - 40%'ers though!!!

Here are some pictures of the haul:

The (71) 40%'ers laid out in the order pulled from box #2:

The (71) 40%'ers from box #2 stacked by date:

Picture of all (75) 40%'ers from both boxes:

Thanks for the nice comments guys!!!

Two very strange things about the box with the (71) 40% -

(1) Soooooooo many 40's, but not even one 90 (although I am NOT complaining!!!) and
(2) This was our 11th box rolled/packed by that particular Coin Wrap Inc. facility dated 10/05/2009 - the previous ten boxes produced (in order) 8,0,1,5,0,7,3,0,4 and 6 silvers.

Then comes this box from the same facility, with the same date and it yields 71.

Country has always spoke of a "companion" box which would have been rolled out of the same $1,000.00 bag...now only if that companion box could be found!!!

Cheers,

Jeff
