Could see that "third side" shining at me from a mile away!!!

Teller had $5.50 in halves. I knew the 7th coin up from the bottom was my keeper!!!

Didn't want to draw attention to it so I asked her for all her halves. My prize was a 1964 Kennedy 90%'er. Sweet...my first 90% at a teller window.

Cheers,

Jeff

My favorite bank comes thru again!!

About every couple months I buy all the halves my bank has stockpiled. This time it was better than most others. They had $234.50 in halves to buy. When I got my bag of loose halves I could already hear that silver jingle inside.

In the bag was--

2 Walkers
3 Franklins
23 1964 90%
and 91 40%!!

Can't wait to see what comes in by Christmas!!

Teller 90%ers are nice.
If you've got the CASH, always ask for them all!

Love hearing about the big half dollar scores! I'm with you and have certainly had my days. Just a trooper living vicariously through your posts of winning the stinkin' lottery......

I love pennies. Found a nice 1913 last night.Clear detail on wheat.

I also had a dime in a machine wrapped penny roll. I sort all bright and unscratched coins (near perfect, wheats, certain mint marks mostly S from any year they made them, Canadian, which I have been stashing for years and could put together a collection,in addition to just sorting out coppers.

Lincolns were my first true love. The original coin compulsion.

I dont know if this should go here or elsewhere, but somebody brought in 5 1940-1953 chevrolet cars to the junkyard today. The latest tags on the cars were 1973. Well, I got to looking in them and digging around, and here is the score:

Ben Franklin halves: 3
Mercury dimes: 4
silver Roosevelt's: 17
Silver Washington quarters: 6
40% Kennedy's: 1
Wheat pennies: 19
Non silver and other: $11.93 face

Not a huge score, but I didnt even have to pay face! Gotta love that.

Been skunked so many times over the past month or two, that I've completely stopped keeping record of my finds. After finding nothing for so long keeping a journal starts to seem a little pointless. Still at it though - picking up two more boxes today.

Mcprice- I would call 31 silvers a huge score. I give you extra credit for the way you found it. I would have never thought of that! I have found a few wheats in old abandoned furniture...may have to hit some junkyards.
Way to keep your eyes open!

Love the old car finds. Woke a few brain cells.

I got two boxes today. The silver spread says not connected but the coincidence of finding a 70S proof in each box.

Box 1-
5-64's
10-40%ers

Box 2-
1-40%er

Should get the last two half boxes tomorrow for the week.

If I can get four a week, and continue through the winter, I will be happy.

Also got more pennies and nickels CWR's today for a stash to sort later. Found 1 WN last night in half a box. Little bits of silver....

The Canadian dollar is almost the USD right now.

I find a few dollars Canadian most days. Today: 2 Loonies, 2 quarters, 1 dime, 1 nickel and some pennies. Pennies don't stick to the magnet but I find a few around the counter.

I also found two more 43 steel cents today making my total almost three tubes from the magnets in the last year.

A 35s? In the teller tray?

Did you use the "I'm robbing the bank" misdirection to distract the teller?

Nice work!
