| lol no just asked for them all so she didn't have to be bothered with them. It was on top to so she seen that one first which kind of scared me as I thought she might keep it. It's safe at home though now |

I notice that the 95-98 years have many uncirculated and most always bag marked in the mix. Many have the ring of tiny fuzzy scratches inside the rim obverse only plus the classic face marks but otherwise mint sheen new with dazzling reeds.

First time doing a semi-large half dollar search. Talked teller into selling me partial bag of halves. Total in bag was $449.50. Yield was (1) 90% Kennedy (1964-D) and (2) 40% Kennedy's (1966 & 1969-D). Also pulled (1) NIFC coin (2007-D).
Pretty pleased with the results, but it came with a small additional bonus. Teller charged only $440.50 for the partial bag, so the net gain was $7.00 (realized) plus the (3) silvers plus the 2007-D NIFC.
Now this may sound like a stupid question to some...should I go back and tell her that she undercharged me by $9.00 and offer that back to the bank??? Honesty could go a long way with potential future sales of full or partial bags...or...should I take the unexpected small windfall and book this against future bags that might be on the short side??? When she sold me the bag she warned that their half dollar counts are not always 100% accurate, so my gut says keep the small difference in my favor this time to cushion against any potential future shorts.

If you tried to give her the $7 back it would throw her out of balance and create work for her. She would not sell you future short bags. The bank paid the customers $7 short on that bag, so there is no loss to the bank.  |
