First minted in Philadelphia January 21, 1925, the funds received were set aside for the Stone Mountain in Georgia carvings of Confederate leaders and soldiers. After 45 years, the carvings were completed in 1970. Mintage was 1,314,709. |

Last three Brinks boxes in past couple weeks just 1 - 40%
Today one Brinks from one bank nothing.
Another Brinks box from another bank and finally got some silver again. Was very happy today.

Someone got the two boxes of halves I ordered at the bank today before I could get there. I even called to make sure they arrived an hour before I went to get them (and was told they were there). The tellers said someone came in early today and got them but it did not get relayed or something. Sigh....
I got two boxes of pennies though, a favorite.
I got two boxes on Wednesday which had 7 40%ers and two degraded proofs, Oh! and one beautiful 1941 Walker, stunning and bright, AU I believe. I found at least 200 foreign coins dumping today, a record. Today TD bank kinda had their hands full when the new system was not posting deposits. Lines out the door of many branches with folks worried about direct withdrawals against the broken deposits. Bank personnel did not have time to fuss with the coin counters so I hit some branches(4) and have a jarful.
Had my supply bank double up on orders next week to stifle my jones....
Also, my Dad found yet another bag of fancy magic coins (machinist wonders), tokens, English Pennies, Halves and oddities. I hope to have some time to take a bunch of pictures and keep it up through the winter. I got that machine triple obverse half the other day, forgot to post it I think. Nice coin to boot.
Oops, one more thing, tired. I picked up 451 Eisenhowers from a dump branch today for a total of 500 or so this week. I haven't mentioned these but have a folder or two and want a couple nice sets. I collect them but am unsure what I will do with the rest after I selet the cream of the crop. It's piggybank thing I guess. Anyone think they will have value some day? I get one or two, then five, then two hundred, then twenty, never know. Many have bright reeds and appear new.
Also my brother just got back from Mexico and picked up a "type" card of old coins. Love it!

This was a stranger who got lucky and said he was me. No worries, I have a new plan. I am having them order 4 boxes a week, just in case. I get boxes from two other banks, each two a week. With pennies, I have plenty to do.
BTW: current batches of pennies, last three boxes, had a lot of nasty zinc and few wheats.

My main supply bank informed me that the "RO" or the banks regional officer has told the branches that there would be no more orders for halves taken.
That leaves me with two banks with a sparce silver history.
I ordered nickels dimes and pennies instead.
