Have you thought about taking a break and doing dimes for a while? 4 silver dimes every $500 face is equivalent to two 40% halves of silver, at a fifth of the face value cost.
If my half boxes ever get that skunky I'd probably do more dimes; worked out pretty well for me this summer. Never going to get a Barber dime if you don't look.
Jefferson - Thank you for the idea of searching dimes. With Brink's, unlike halves which are paper wrapped, dimes are wrapped in see through plastic. It's very easy to edge search right through the plastic (I use a small plastic magnifier to scan them). It was easy. I only needed to open a few rolls that showed silver. Put the discard rolls and re-wraps right back into the box and return them as is. 
I found 3 silver Roosevelts in two boxes I got from my source bank today. I'm hooked. I'm gonna get more.

We only see the clear tubes in banks about an hour away.
I will have to see what I can do.
I have searched dimes in paper and I mostly get skunked.
Well, do any searchers who look at the coins one by one see any 2009 dimes? Nickels?
They have stopped production for the year at the mint and I have not seen a single one!
I have two boxes of halves tonight. Nothing on the faces.

Not better than it looked at first. Exactly the way it looked at first. When you see 1976 printed on the outside of the rolls, you know that Silver Santa probably is not paying a visit. I hate when they put 1964 on the outside of the rolls just to tease you. |

I have not posted here in several months.
I got a box of halves, skunk city. I have just about gave up on halves. Boxes and CWR and loose teller trays.
I have only found 14 in the last 4 months and probably spent $50 in gas to do that.
I think I need to open some new bank accounts and buy boxes from different armored car services. |
