Got 8 boxes and 5 40% and 1 90% 64 in the first box.
Then looks like a bunch of skunk then a nice box.

All machine rolls of course
Got a ways to go but will probably get skunked on the last.
If I was getting a box at a time, I would have quit long ago.
I think you have to get to the bottom of the satcks by brute force.

| 1000.00 in halves skunked so I decided to do drivebys 4th bank teller says I have sixty in the vault but it doesnt open for 8 minutes so I wait almost left but decided to show some patience 6 rolls 20 40% 4 90% sweeeeet 2banks latet teller tells me she has 400.00 in halves i buy them all the rolls were dated 70s i checked a few and then dropped them off at my dump bank have one more 1000.00 bag of halves to go thru today |

that was a lot of work for 10 halves.
but my plans were to get through the ones that I keep getting over and over. maybe the next 14 boxes I am about to get before I dump will result in better numbers.
I live between 2 large cities. I think I am going to start buying in one and dumping in another so I won't be recycling the same halves. |

The trick is to buy from an institution that uses one supplier (NF String&Sons) and dump at an institution that uses a different supplier (Brinks).
Sometimes the Manager will tell you who they use, otherwise you figure it out from the wrapping on the machine rolled Coin. |

These are my totals for April. It excludes that 1910 Canadian silver half and any US proofs/silver proofs. My guess is 2 silver proofs, and 3-4 non-silver proofs.
57 1964 Kennedy Half dollar
280 1965-1969 Kennedy Half dollar
33 Franklin Half
4 Walking Liberty Half
Not sure how many boxes I went through. Probably between 20-25. Up to you if you want to add my findings. I know it'll skew your numbers higher than average. |

Wow, what a day. Sorted 2 boxes ($1000) of Halves... one of which was simply amazing...
First Box:
38x 40%
4x 90% (all 1964)
1x 1978s proof
Second Box:
1x lonely 1964 90%
Went to my second bank to get my next order, only to find the person with the vault access had left for the day...so will be back tomorrow with another 2 boxes. Good luck all! |
