How do you get a $1000 box of quarters? All the boxes of quarters I get only have $500 in them.  |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

$36 in halves from the teller:
10 40%
5 90% (1918, 1962, 1963 FBL, (2) 1964)
Also got a $25 box of pennies from a small bank- 98 wheats, and the majority of them were pre-1925
Things are looking up, lets hope it stays this way |

| Sorted $200 in nickels and found two war nickels. Actually I sorted $178 dollars in nickels and got skunked and then found a war nickel in back to back rolls. Seeing two in a row picked up the spirits a little bit. |

Spreadsheet updated up to this post.
I assumed $500 halves in the bag searched for ComputerJones' by his 3 tellers.

| Today I went to McDonald's to get breakfast. I paid for it partly in half dollars. The person waiting for his meal asked the cashier if he could buy them. I said to him "you some more?" I pulled $1.50 worth and he bought them for $2.00. Nice little exchange. *Note these were not silver, proofs or NIFC. Wish I had more on me. |

| 1000.00 in halves only 2 40% 1 93s so I went drivebys hit about 15 banks in a twenty mile round trip 17 40% 2 64 kennedys I am amazed how many tellers just handed up silver 5 different banks handed out silver and about 5 banks had none at all only 1 bank did I notice a teller looking at dates. I live in a heavy populated area so there are many banks next day off I may try drivebys again |

Just did three boxes of halves the other day.
Box 1 - SKUNK
Box 2 - 3 40%'s
Box 3 - 1 64 Kennedy, and 6 40%s.
I've been getting skunked more than usual this year. For most of 2008, box 3 was more or less the average. More people may be on to our little coin hunting game here. |
