My grandpa has a farm and I really need to learn more skills from him. I have learned basic bee-keeping and a few other things, but not nearly what he has to teach me. I used to do demolition /construction and learned some basic stone-cutting. I am a dead-eye with all my weapons, so that is a plus.
I work for lawyers, and none of them will answer this question. Does it hurt when they remove your soul?
Not sure if they remove it in school, or after you pass the bar. Let my know, eh.
You must work with plaintiff's lawyers or maybe criminal defense. The rest of us have souls, haha. |

Nah, they're good folks. No criminal work, but pretty much every other practice type. Our bankruptcy group (commercial only, no personal bankruptcy) has been very busy. Business transaction group...not so much.
I'm sure you've got a soul too, I doubt that you'd be posting on here if you didn't.

Those jewelry pieces you showed us this weekend were very impressive! And I think that especially as other "toys" become priced out of more people's budgets as the economy continues to get worse, little things like your jewelry will take on an added personal value to a lot of people. |

This might be a valuable skill set if TS truly HTF. If a book is valuable for "escapist" or entertainment, how much more so a good old school "bard" type!
I've been a percussionist forever - corps style, rock, highland, African, classical/traditional, jazz - you name it. |

I worked with a lawyer who was also a drummer.... That's him on the right...Jim Drnec.

He played with Cinderella for a while in the mid eighties. He plays more subdued music now, mostly with a jazz band. Pictures like this turn up now and then to haunt him.

AG-Metal,
No shot at you, just a free association thing, lawyer-drummer, made me remember Jim....
And I thought everyone would get a good laugh at the costume.
OTOH, I bet they SCORED ALOT.... |

As much as I dislike doing it, I may start a backyard foundry. I've worked in ferrous metalcasting for over a quarter century and the idea of a hobby based on your job has always seemed rather boring to me, personally. But it would be an excellent skill to have. I can duplicate a broken casting at work, but it would be challenging to be able to do this using rather rudimentary materials and equipment. |
