Does anyone know if a penny sorter comparator sorts the pre 1982 coins by checking for weight in addition to size?

EDIT: I mean a homemade penny sorter like using a CC-40A coin comparator

My Penny sorter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MlXGWdyzPU (have not messed around with it and need new way to feed the coins - looking for ideas so post on video)

Depends on which one you've got doesn't it? The Ryedales use an electromagnetic comparison that can tell the difference in 82s.

I think most comparitors use an ellectomagnetic comparison.. something like inductive resistance. The popsicle stick and pencil device sorts using weight.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.
