Have anying one have to pay a bank shipping charges to get pennies or any coins? If so how much? I have one bank that is looking at a shipping charge.

It comes up from time to time and when it does most people just threaten to close their account and then failing that go to a different bank.

Unless you are in a tiny town I can't believe there's not another bank or two within 5 mile radius that wouldn't be happy to get you some free of charge. Would be a great question when talking to a bank manager about opening a new account. "I collect pennies and I'm looking for a good source for brinks boxes, bags, and customer wrapped rolls. Would this be a problem with your bank?" I guess you would sure get an honest answer at that point and if they said no problem you know who you could hold true to their word. Of course easy for me to say right..lol

I gave up on ordering coin here in Canada - just box after box of new or mint sorted coin. I just drive around and buy up all the coin I can find when I have time, get board, or am going past banks anyway. I also dump coins the same way, but in a few specific branches I've designated as dump banks.
