Hey,
Just came back to the forum to post my Nickel Report and noticed that I hadn't been either to Coinflation or to here in a while. I saw Coinflation had a link to Ryedale's penny sorter video on YouTube. Glad to see it finally out, too bad the purpose it would be used for is no longer legal. A little too late, I guess.
Also noticed on Coinflation today that zinc has dropped, making the penny less than a cent again.
I recently bought some new coins, actually. I bought two Civil War tokens and two Peace Dollars. Also, unfortunately my grandmother isn't doing too well , so my mother gave me her old Morgans, one of which goes back to 1901.
I am no longer a fan of coins as an investment - I simply collect them now for the same reason I collect stamps, that is, for aesthetic value. The markups and shipping are way too high for them to be considered investments, plus there's the risk of getting ripped off.
Glad to be back!
